BUSINESS INFO
Everything you need to know about owning and running a business in Cerberus RP.
Owning a Business
Player-owned businesses are the backbone of the city's economy. From mechanic shops and restaurants to nightclubs and dealerships, businesses create jobs, gathering spots, and roleplay for everyone — not just their owners.
- Businesses are granted to active, established players with a solid concept.
- Owning a business is a responsibility: regular hours, hired staff, and consistent roleplay are expected.
- Inactive businesses can be reclaimed and offered to new owners.
- Ownership is non-transferable — a business can't be sold, traded, or handed to another player.
Business Types
The city supports a range of business concepts, including:
- Mechanic Shops — repairs, upgrades, and custom work.
- Restaurants & Bars — food, drinks, and social hubs.
- Nightclubs & Venues — events, parties, and entertainment.
- Dealerships — vehicle sales and trade-ins.
- Retail & Services — clothing, convenience, taxis, and more.
Have a concept that isn't listed? Pitch it — original business ideas that create roleplay for others are exactly what the city needs.
How to Apply
Business ownership starts with a pitch to staff:
- Establish yourself first. Build your character's story and show consistent activity in the city.
- Write your concept. What's the business, who runs it, who works there, and what does it add to the city?
- Open a ticket. Submit your business proposal through Discord.
- Interview & review. Staff will walk through your plan, expectations, and availability with you.
Pricing & What's Included
A business costs $25.
- Not included: MLOs (custom interiors), additional clothing, and vehicles are separate and not part of the business price.
Owner Responsibilities
A business license is earned continuously, not granted once. Owners are expected to:
- Open regularly and post hours the city can count on.
- Hire and pay employees — businesses should create jobs, not just profits.
- Host events or promotions that bring people through the door.
- Keep business conflict in character and within server rules.
Inactivity policy: Businesses that sit closed for extended periods may be reclaimed so another player can bring the location back to life.
Stepping down: Businesses can't be sold or transferred between players. If you no longer want to be the owner, the business is removed and returned to staff, who decide where it goes next.
